We are so excited that our website was chosen to be added to Mr. Technique’s WordPress Divi Theme Inspiration Pinterest board. Tom’s board displays websites using the Divi WordPress theme from ElegantThemes.  We recently did a website makeover on our own website using the Divi theme after reading great reviews and working on a couple of sites that belonged to our clients who we provide maintenance for.

We really loved our existing website design but the previous template we were using was very heavy and the load time was horrible at nearly 22 seconds at times. We knew it wasn’t our hosting since we use SSD VPS servers with lightspeed so we were certain it was our theme (and possibly homepage video). We decided to switch our theme out with the Divi theme and could not be more pleased with the results. We were able to replicate the existing design – even keeping our Atlanta skyline video from the old theme almost seamlessly with amazing results.  Since security is now a top priority for Google, we also switched over from http to https fully in the process. We were actually concerned it was going to effect our load time as well but we honestly did not notice any lag in doing so.

Since converting over to the Divi theme, our GTMETRIX PageSpeed score is now 99% and YSlow Score is 93% Woo Hoo! We couldn’t be happier – previously our PageSpeed score was 92% but our YSlow Score was 70% and reports loading time at 2.9s. Of course we did some optimization to get those scores – but we also had optimized the previous theme in the same manner- to be fair.  Divi is a theme I am confident in recommending to our clients or others looking for a flexible smooth template.

Since then, we recently converted an existing Joomla website that we had created several years ago for a Smyrna nail spa website over to a WordPress platform using the Divi theme as well while keeping with the same design that previously existed. It turned out beautifully and the client is extremely happy with the transition!

Let us know what you think!  We would love to read your feedback!
