WordPress Website Designers & Developers
Why do we design websites using the WordPress CMS platform?
We honestly did not start using WordPress as our choice platform for website development. Prior to WordPress we designed and developed standard static websites using HTML and CSS. Our primary tool for web design was Adobe Dreamweaver at that time. In fact our very first content management system was actually Joomla in 2009 and we were blown away by it so much so that we started using it for web development. Although it was a really good alternative there seemed to be a huge learning curve for our clients to make even a simple change and updating it was slightly complicated.
WordPress was released on May 27, 2003, by its founders, Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little. WordPress is an open-source content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL very much like Joomla. We only discovered WordPress in 2010 when approached by client wanting a business directory website built using WordPress.
(Worth mentioning is that when we are talking about WordPress we are referring to WordPress.org not WordPress.com. With WordPress.org, YOU host your own website by downloading the software and installing on your own web server.)
Discovering WordPress opened an entirely new door for us and before we knew it, we were being bombarded with WordPress website requests therefore adding it to our services. It quickly became obvious that WordPress was growing in leaps and bounds and excelling in every aspect possible.
Soon thereafter, we quickly noticed that the sites we created using WordPress were doing far better in the search engine results more than any of the other platforms we used. It wasn’t long after that we decided to no longer design websites with any other platform than WordPress so we could focus at being really great at just the one.
We spent the last 7 years fine tuning our skills and only focusing on learning WordPress design and development so we could be not just good but totally “Awesome” at what we do. Since then we have really grown and expanded to not only designing WordPress websites but to now providing complete Maintenance Services, WordPress Hosting and SEO Optimization Services.
So that sums up to why we use WordPress as our platform. We absolutely LOVE WordPress!
